Scenario #4 Sire Fred (Fr) vs Kk IJN Fuso (KM)*September 5th, 1939. SW of Toulon
LCdr Sire Fred aboard the destroyer Tigre has made submarine contact while patrolling the entrance to Toulon Harbour.

IJN Fuso: Sink the enemy destroyer
Map: Battlemap 04 in rulebook. No objectives. Fr deploys to the east, KM to the west.

Question, Can I deploy my sub anywhere legal? Or does it have to be on the last row?
And I assume the winner of a deployment roll deploys second.

I'll deploy in the center of the eastern side of the map. A question. Would it be possible to post the map on-line? It would make things easier and clearer to follow.

Let's just use the grid on the map. As you are facing the writing. If you're on the east - let's call it A4 (count down from the top). I deploy to H4 and I move to G4. I assume you'll move to C4.
I hope you don't mind me moving for you 1st turn, but this scenario is trivial. So the sub is on G4. the DD is on C4. We are at range 4 from one another.

Aouch! Total destruction for the french coastguards. Now the Germans can seize the Vichy fleet of Toulon to replace the loss of the Regia Marina.
