September 8th, 1939. Indian Ocean
LCdr Raevski (RAN) aboard the destroyer HMAS Vampire has been detached from a troop convoy to investigate a merchant ship running a parallel course, just over the horizon. It has been spotted by a float plane from one of the escorting cruisers
Nordmark (Fk IJN Fuso) has been cautiously following the smoke over the horizon, trying to ascertain more info, when a destroyer is spotted bearing down on her making high-speed. It is too late to turn away.
Orders:
LCdr Raevski: Investigate this strange ship.
IJN Fuso: Nordmark's only hope is to ambush the destroyer and flee before the cruiser and additional escorts protecting the convoy can react.
Map: Battlemap 00 (Clear Sea). No objectives. RAN deploys to the west, KM to the east.
Order of Battle:
RAN
HMAS Vampire (HMS Javelin)
KM
Nordmark
Other: HMAS may only ascertain the true identity of Nordmark at a range of 1. Nordmark may open fire at anytime.

I setup in the middle of the eastern side of the map - in K4. K1 is the Northeast corner.
I'll movethis 1st turn as well

I would think so - otherwise I'll try to stay at Range 2+ and fire away!
