September 6th, 1939. Western Mediterranean

LCdr PotRN aboard the destroyer HMS Jarvis has made submarine contact while escorting some French merchant ships from Gibraltar to Toulon. The Sloop HMS Rambler has just caught up to reinforce the escort.

U-44 (Kk IJN Fuso) is on it's way home after sinking the French destroyer Tigre outside of Toulon Harbour.

Orders:
LCdr PotRN: Sink U-44 or suppress it long enough for the entire convoy to reach the eastern edge of the map.

IJN Fuso: Make it from the Eastern edge of the map to the Western edge. The sinking of any transports will bring you a quick promotion.

Map: Battlemap 02 in rulebook. No objectives. RN deploys to the west, KM to the east.

Order of Battle:
UK
HMS Jarvis (Javelin)
HMS Rambler (Samuel B. Roberts)
3 French Merchantmen (any transport models, but with the stats of the transport from the WAS Rulebook's convoy scenario)

KM
U-44 (U-510)

Special Deployment Rules:
U-44 must deploy along the eastern edge of the map.

Other: If both teams reach their respective actions without any action, it will be considered a draw.

Yes, I should really lock the thread when I'm using the previous scenario as a template for the new one.

OK - I set up in the middle of the eastern side - K4.

As I look at the Map, there are three 1/2 islands along the southern egde.  We'll count coordinates from the north, so K1 is my northnern most swarem while K7 is my southen most.

init
Rolls: (2d6)
rerolls if needed
Rolls: (2d6)
Rolls: (2d6)

I imagine the 1st few turns will be trivial.  After you setup, since I need to move to the other side, I'll move 1 West to J4
init for turn 2
Rolls: (2d6)
rerolls if needed
Rolls: (2d6)
Rolls: (2d6)

Question - What if I manage to sink a Transport but get sunk.  DO I get promoted then?

OK, IJN Fuso wins by default. U-44 gets safely through.
